Abstract
Foods Gender Problem is an ecofeminist history of unremunerated domestic food production. In it, I have analyzed the writings about housework, specifically cooking, done by the American women liberationists of the late 1960s through mid 1970s and compared their work to their contemporary environmental movement. I am using this moment in time as a teaching point for the current food movement in order to discuss some of its gender and economic issues.
