The Cauchemar

There are folktales. There are facts. And then...there's Louisiana. The lines separating the real and the imaginary, the natural and the supernatural, the past and the present become blurred in the southern swampland: a place where large aquatic rats nest alongside eleven-foot long prehistoric reptiles. In this bizarre bayou realm a lingering sleep paralysis demon, born out of centuries of racism and multigenerational trauma, finds itself in the home of a black and white family, the Landrys, for that most special American holiday––Thanksgiving. Let's hope everyone gets along this holiday season...
