WARNING

This play is set at a concert–think queer rock meets a stand-up Netflix special meets Beyoncé who meets Satan himself. Using various creative elements, "WARNING" will lead you through a narrative investigating identity through a comedic lens. Together, we will explore how trauma manifests in different bodies, while creating a space where we can poke fun and laugh at said trauma. Accompanying the play is an artist statement that traces "trigger warnings" and "safe spaces" through history and how minoritized bodies can subvert those spaces to create one of care and accessibility that can actually foster creative knowledge production.
