A Place in the Sun

A Place in the Sun is a novella that takes place in a small town in central Italy in 1940 and 1941. Francesco, a fourteen-year-old boy, must confront the realities of his country?s two-decade-long fascist dictatorship through his relationships with his parents, whose marriage is falling apart before his eyes, and his new friends, a family that has recently moved to town and will change Francesco forever.
