This thesis explores the perpetuation of the conflict due to the policy of control and manipulation of space. The politicization of space drastically impacts concepts of identity and group dynamics. The country of Northern Ireland is caught in a perpetuating cycle of conflict due to the walls developed in their lives and minds.
