Even in a world of ever expanding technology, something is missing from digital representations. It is that something lost of a person when speaking to them over the internet vs. being in their presence, the difference between an audio recording and a live performance. The impact of this phenomena on digital art and electronic music in particular is examined throughout this work. Through a variety of methods, including the integration of acoustic sound with electronic music and biological data, we seek to minimize the impact of this phenomena, and instead illustrate the deeper levels of interconnectivity between musicians as they are performing together.
