Pacifica

This is the pilot for the TV series, Pacifica. In the year 2092, Jean Perrot is growing up in a newly established Mars colony, where people live in a dreamworld of nostalgia thanks to the ThoughtPad: a ubiquitous device that connects to your brain and uploads memories to review and share. After being arrested as a political dissident, Jean is sent to a youth prison camp on the Pacifica, the colossal orbiting spacecraft that was originally used to transport the colonists from Earth. Here, he befriends Sarah Constant, the runaway daughter of the colony's president, and together they discover the secret history of the colony and the mind-bending possibilities of ThoughtPad technology. Both psychological techno-thriller and interpersonal melodrama, Pacifica will explore both the inner depths of the human psyche and the outer limits of space in search of our place in the universe.
