Choreographing Family: Performativity and Spectatorship in Interracial Adoption
This thesis explores interracial adoption through the lens of performance theory. I define family as performative in two senses: the first as active and not inherited, the second as a spectacle. I then posit two original pieces of choreography within these respective frameworks.
